Prfect natural, non-gmo, vegan, GF option for AREDS 2 supplements!
for the first year after my diagnosis of the early stages of macular degeneration, i could only find chemically-based AREDS2 supplements, so i pieced together my own, using a whole array of natural, OG and vegan supplements to make up a similar package......i was really thrilled to finally find the Macutene Protect AREDS2 formula that met all (or almost all -- would be nice if it was completely OG, but non-GMO is close enough) of my criteria......makes life much easier.... i should also mention that over the last four years, my eye exams have shown that the macular degeneration is not getting worse..... thank you!!!

Macutene was Recommended by my Retina Specialist
I have age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and my Retina Specialist recommended Macutene a few years ago. I initially took PreserVision AREDS2, which is often recommended for intermediate AMD, when I was first diagnosed. Macutene is quite a bit more expensive so I was a little reluctant to switch. However, wanting to do everything possible to preserve my eyesight and being able to afford the higher cost, I chose to follow the doctor’s advice. I’m not a medical professional so I can’t evaluate it myself. It’s my understanding though that these do not improve your eyesight, and I wonder why that claim is sometimes made.
